Bare Escentuals Primer Shadow Review and Swatches

Bare Escentuals is one of my favorite brands because they deliver new and amazing products CONSTANTLY. The newest product to emerge during the celebration of their 35th year is the Bare Escentuals Prime Time Primer Shadow.

Six vibrant, long lasting colors will be available for $18 each from Bare Escentuals beginning next month. I've had a few weeks to check these out and have found myself reaching for them almost every day since they arrived!

My favorites are Gunmetal and Chroma Violet. These don't pack as much of a color punch as a cream shadow, like my beloved Buxom Stay-Theres, but they do make an excellent base for creating a multitude of looks.

For example, for a really quick easy eye, prime the entire lid with your regular primer. Then apply Chroma Violet in the outer corner only, feathering upwards, slightly into the crease. Then apply a BE shadow like Berry Flambe over the entire eye eyelid, up to the crease. Add your favorite liner and mascara and viola! It's a long lasting, really easy eye. Get trickier by using the Primer/Shadow bases to change the color of existing shadows and bring out your inner artist!

Check out all six colors below:

(Gunmetal)

(Bronzed Twig)

(Sundance)

(Racing Green)

(Urban Nature)

(Chroma Violet)

What colors are you picking up? Gunmetal, Chroma Violet and Urban Nature are definitely make my list!

Check out the look I created using the Primer Shadow in Racing Green, Queen Phyllis Matte, Refresh and Wicked Eyecolor, Optimist blush, Love Radiance and Cupcake Natural Lipgloss.
