Tarte is launching some lust-worthy products this summer, some of which are making my heart skip a beat!
(Moss, Beach Bronze, Pink Seashell, Slate)I love (almost) nothing more than a cream shadow that doesn't fade or crease. Tarte's new Amazonian Clay Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow Pots totally deliver.
Oily lids? The clay will balance them out, making sure the shadow stays put. Dry lids? This special clay from the Amazon is also hydrating with Vitamin E so the cream shadow won't crack or flake off of dry lids. These little pots seal tightly so they shouldn't dry out. Each shadow comes with its own brush, perfect for getting inside the small pot and picking up the right amount.
(Slate, Sea Shell, Moss, Beach Bronze)
Like all Tarte products, these are free of parabens, sodium laurel sulfate, mineral oil, petrolatum, synthetic fragrance, or phthalates. Check out the colors!
This summer also brings new colors in the Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eye Liner Pots. These liners are housed in an air-proof jar, but treat them with care!
I've had some in the past that dried out fairly quickly (I really wish I could find my old ones!) but I believe the jar is slightly different.
These liners can also be worn as budge-proof shadows that won't move in the heat and the humidity. Each one comes with a tool that serves as a liner and as a shadow brush.
(Plum, Black, Brown)
And finally, if an old fashioned Eyeliner Pencil is more up your alley, check out the long wearing colors Tarte is serving up this summer in the Waterproof Amazonian Clay Cream Liners. I've been wearing the black on my inner, upper rim and have had some fading, but compared to 98% of everything else, they have been holding up really well. (UD tends to fade on my inner rim, if that is helpful information.)
As of now, you'll get two of the liners for $28 (in the same color) from the Q. Choose from Brown, Black or Plum.
Out of all of these, here are my must-haves:
Seashell Pink Cream Shadow: It's the perfect shade for us very fair chicks to use on our lids to give us that glistening no-makeup look. Or you can pop it in the inner corner of your eye to add some drama. While you're at it, put a little on your cheek bone for a shimmering touch.
Indigo Waterproof Clay Liner: This is just slightly brighter than a navy blue without going overboard on the shine and sparkle. If you want to spice up your normal navy, this is the color. It doesn't move until you take it off. Just be sure to close the pot lid TIGHTLY.
Bronze Waterproof Clay Liner makes for an amazing eyeshadow. It's a complex bronze with enough darkness to add dimension to your eyes without making them seem overly smoky. Pair it with the Beach Bronze Cream Shadow pot for an easy eye that puts the focus on your peepers.
Plum (Clay Cream) Liners are my weakness. I love the gritty deep purple gleam they seem to bring to my blue eyes. This plum brings enough oomph to be used to create a softer smoky evening eye or adds enough color to use by itself during the day. Either way, it goes on like butter, baby.
