- In the shower, always rinse your hair with cold water after conditioning to seal the cuticle and lock in moisture – this will help keep dry, brittle hair at bay.
- Stay away from heat styling to avoid aggravating split ends; try working with your natural texture during colder months. If you do, use lower temperature settings on your tools.
- Wearing hats as we often do in the winter can make hair oily and limp. Make sure to vigorously massage your scalp with your fingers in the shower to break up any excess dirt or oil.
